About me!
Hi! I’m Mélodie Kerr, a game design student with a passion for video games! I pretty much grew up with a keyboard and mouse in my hands. My dad was an avid gamer and introduced me to his world pretty early.
I never really thought one could make a career from making video games but I loved computers so I decided to study Computer Science at Santa Monica College. In one of my final semesters, I took an Intro to Game Programming class which pretty much taught us how to use rudimentary C# and the basic workarounds of Unity. It was love at first sight.
That next semester I only took game design classes with a board game making class. My decision was finalized, I wanted to switch majors and study game design. I finalized my associate degree in Computer Science, grabbed a certificate in Programming, and jumped right into the Academy of Art. I’m currently working to get a Bachelor of Fine Art with a focus on Game Design.
In my free time, if I’m not raiding in World of Warcraft Classic or playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, I’m either reading or spending time with my side-kick corgi named Winston.
